It is an honour to serve the Project for Settlement of Land Records in District Dir Lower, District Dir Upper and Tehsil Kalam, Swat, under the Board of Revenue, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Accurate land records protect the rights of landholders and reduce disputes, and the Accounts Section supports this mission by managing the Project's public funds honestly and efficiently.

Financial System:
As per the approved PC-I, the Project's accounts are maintained through an Asaan Assignment Account, opened on 20th September, 2021 at the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Cantt Branch, with the authentication of the Finance Department and the Accountant General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Finance Department releases funds out of the allocated budget, and the Accountant General and Director Treasury actualize and book the expenditure and receipts. Monthly reports with auditable evidence are submitted to the Accountant General for post-audit at the end of each month.

Role of the Accounts Section:
The Accounts Officer records all financial transactions of the Project, and classifies, summarizes, reports and interprets them in accordance with Government rules, after approval of the Project Director. This includes: • Budget control and monitoring of releases under PC-I heads • Salaries, pay fixation, allowances and tax deductions of staff • Processing of bills and payments for the Project Office and field offices • Procurement payments in line with KPPRA rules, with tax deductions from vendors • Vehicle, POL and store records • Monthly reconciliation with the Accountant General and Director Treasury, and support to audit The Accounts Officer is assisted by one Assistant and one Computer Operator.
